INRA's geographical distribution, its support for national and regional policies and the diversity of its partners are advantages that can both support and drive varied, open and efficient partnership modes. Regional vitality and new university partnerships offer novel opportunities for structuring collaborations involving research and higher education that will increase their ability to achieve an international reputation.

In 2025, INRA's open partnership arrangements will allow it to stimulate innovation efficiently at the local, national and European levels. The Institute and its scientists are confronted daily by the need to align their efforts with European, national (national research strategy and INRA's Orientation Document) and local ("Smart Specialisation Strategy", S3) strategies. The scope of the Institute's activities, central to the concerns of citizens, offers an important opportunity to develop new ways to drive Science in interface with society.
